    Problem: What happened to the FilmCan channel?  
    Solution: Sorry folks, the confusion generated by our flip/flop on closing the site, has caused AvantGo to change FilmCan's channel id. What this means to you, is that you will have to remove FilmCan from you list of AvantGo channels, and then sign up again.
    The easiest way to sign up for FilmCan, is to direct your desktop browser to our channel registration page. Fill out the form, and click on the GO button. This will take you to a page with a custom link to the AvantGo server. Within the link is all the necessary  information to correctly add your channel. Follow the SIGN UP NOW link, and login to your AvantGO account. DONE!

    Problem: I'm trying to add FilmCan via the AvantGo service, and nothing happens. 
    Solution: The wording from the AvantGo site is a bit misleading. The easiest way to sign up for FilmCan, is to direct your desktop browser to our channel registration page. Fill out the form, and click on the GO button. This will take you to a page with a custom link to the AvantGo server. Within the link is all the necessary  information to correctly add your channel. Follow the SIGN UP NOW link, and login to your AvantGO account. DONE!

    Problem: I'm a MAC user, and I've done everything to register (as listed above) and it STILL doesn't work!
    Solution: We have several reported occurences of some MAC's not correctly registering with the AvantGo service. We still don't know the how/why of this error occuring. In most cases we can resolve this via the creation of a custom web page for you to access. Please contact send us a note for assistance. In very rare circumstances even this doesn't work, and you will have to resort to using a different computer to complete your sign up procedure.

    Problem: I've added the FilmCan channel, and can see several pages, but many of them generate a "Can't load.." error message. Is this a link depth problem?
    Solution:   Every page in our AvantGo channel can be accessed from at most 2 links from the default (thus the max depth of 2). What you are experiencing is more likely a channel SIZE problem. AvantGo (for reasons unknown to us) has defaulted the channel size to 40K. If you are getting "Can't load" or similar errors this is the likely culprit.

    There are two ways to fix this problem:

    1. Increase the "MAX SIZE":
      • Using your Desktop browser SURF to AvantGo
      • Login to your AvantGo account
      • Select FilmCan from your list of channels
      • Update the profile from 40K to 100K (150K for the larger regions)
      • HotSync
    2. Decrease your download:
      • Using your Desktop browser SURF to FilmCan
      • Sign up for MyFilmCan (using the same email address)
      • Login to your MyFilmCan account
      • Click on Theatres, and the "Use MyFilmCan Theatre List" checkbox
      • Select the theatres you want in your data feed.
      • HotSync
